Product Review
A Dream Machine
I spent many, many hours at the Trionic facebook group, asking questions, reading all member comments about every aspect of the Veloped. I placed my order for the 12" Tour version based on those glowing and also quite candid reviews. As it transpired, every good thing posted about the Veloped turned out to be true. This rollator was easy to assemble, and i am tragically bad at assembling, it is solid, and stylish, balances beautifully over (for me) tricky terrain. It has made my fuller outdoor life possible. I can't recommend it more highly, even at the breathtaking Australian price of $3000. I would also like to mention the superb after-sales service of the Aussie Trionic rep David Zohs. I emailed the dumbest questions ( where is the lock I ordered? Oh, there it is, factory attached!). David followed up by phone immediately, twice. Such impressive support means a lot when you live in my far-away country. Six stars to Trionic support.
For anyone reading this review, I suggest that you build up your use of the Veli more slowly than I did. I raced around for two hours on the first day, and my underused shoulder and leg muscles complained bitterly the next. I needed a more sensible, realistic approach, more like 15 minutes a day for two weeks to achieve some appropriate fitness to be comfortable.
Complaints: None. If I had any suggestion, it would be a gear change option to slow down the Veli on hills. The brakes work brilliantly, but going downhill, it would be nice to have gear traction.
